I have issue in English paper 2- question no. 38 and question no. 28,
ReplyDeletein the official website the answer of q.38 is given 2, but the right answer is option 1. Because Harriet b. Stowe has written "Uncle tom's cabin". "INCIDENTS IN THE LIFE OF A SLAVE GIRL" is written by someone else. so the right answer is 1 and not 2... please check this
secondly in question 28 there is a mistake in the question- the word NOT is missing in the second line.
the lines in the question are -
THESE BEAUTEOUS FORMS,
THROUGH A LONG ABSENCE HAVE BEEN TO ME
AS IS A LANDSCAPE TO A BLIND MAN'S EYE...[ in the poem the actual line is – “through a long absence have not been to me”]
in the official answer key the answer given is 2 that is litotes...but as the word NOT was not there in the question paper so it cannot be litotes . it can be apostrophe, which is option 1. sir it may be a printing mistake. because in the poem the word 'not' is present. but considering the lines that are given in the question, litotes may not be the right answer. it is more likely to be apostrophe. please check.
one more thing is that in paper 1 the official answer keys do not match the actual answers, means the solved question papers and the answer keys are showing different answers. they are not same.
